We seek an experienced Safety Process Advisor to join a leading chemical handling and storage organisation.
This is a high-impact role that offers the opportunity to work with Major Hazardous Facilities (MHF) and contribute to safety excellence across a network of sites in Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities: Safety Incident Management: Lead investigations into safety incidents, analyse root cause and implement corrective actions.
Contractor Safety Management: Ensure all contractors adhere to safety standards and compliance regulations.
Standards & Process Development: Develop, implement, and maintain safety processes and standards for continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
Safety Case Development: Prepare and maintain safety cases for Major Hazard Facilities in line with industry requirements.
Training & Education: Provide safety training to staff and contractors, promoting a strong safety culture across the organisation.
Incident Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into safety incidents, identifying root causes and preventive measures.
Asset Management: Oversee the safety and integrity of assets through effective safety management practices.
Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance safety systems, ensuring best practices are applied across all operations.
Interstate Travel: Occasional travel across Australia and New Zealand, with notice.
Key Requirements: Proven experience managing and developing safety systems in a high-risk environment, preferably in chemical handling and storage.
Strong communication skills to engage effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders and clients.
Expertise in conducting root cause analysis and developing preventive solutions.
Experience delivering safety training and promoting continuous improvement.
Familiarity with safety regulations and processes for Major Hazard Facilities licensing.
Willingness to travel interstate on occasions.
