Our Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and supplies necessary for our operations while ensuring cost efficiency, quality standards, and timely delivery.
The ideal candidate is comfortable in a senior leadership position and is an excellent communicator that provides guidance to the pricing and quotations departments while closely tracking buying trends and market conditions.
They will be adept at negotiations, pricing profitability, conducting risk assessments with new vendors, and providing insights to the inventory management process.

Wages may be scaled based on relevant education and experience.
Responsibilities Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives Utilize procurement systems to streamline purchasing processes Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the supply chain and branch management teams to optimize stock levels and isolate issues Implement techniques to forecast demand and manage inventory efficiently with a focus on profitability Direct product categories, product sourcing, and product selection Source new suppliers and unique transactions, then evaluate their capabilities to meet quality and pricing requirements Negotiate co-op agreements and allocate funds Evaluate direct rebate promotions from suppliers Attend trade shows and industry events to keep on top of industry trends or changes Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; equivalent combination of education and industry experience will be considered 5+ years of proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation in a similar industry Familiarity with procurement systems is preferred Strong understanding of supply chain management principles Ability to analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong contract negotiation skills Since 1892, ANDREW SHERET LIMITED has specialized in providing a large inventory of plumbing and heating products to customers in Western Canada.
