About you and the role John Holland has been leading the Level Crossing Removal Project in Melbourne since 2017 as part of the North Western Program Alliance (NWPA).
We've just been awarded a $560 million contract to build the new Melton Station and remove the level crossings at Coburns and Exford roads.
This is an Expression of Interest for Project Engineers with experience in the following scope: Civil (e.g.
roads, car parks, retaining walls) Stations Structures Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Manage on-site engineering functions directly and through subordinates, which may include graduate engineers and site engineers.
Monitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material.
Coordinate the activities of the team, programme workloads and provide technical and administrative guidance.
Ensure the construction-related aspects of the project meet or exceed performance targets in relation to time, cost, and quality.
Accurate forecasts of costs and utilise corrective action in line with JH's authority and reporting frameworks to maximise the profit margin.
Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards of supplier, subcontractor quotations/purchase orders as well as subcontractor arrangements.
Participate in planning works inclusive of day works and intense around clock working within rail closures.
Plan resource requirements including plant, equipment, labour, materials and staff resourcing.
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and planning authorities to ensure satisfactory completion of works.
Prepare project status reports and change orders.
What we are looking for: Degree qualified Civil Engineer with at least 5 years post graduate experience.
Demonstrated skills in programming, cost control, quality assurance, safety and supervision/people management.
Proven experience in working on Tier 1 Civil Infrastructure Projects.
Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.
Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specification, standards and implications for project accountabilities.
