About the role We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join the South Eastern Program Alliance team based in West Melbourne.
The South Dynon Stage 2 Project – located at the V/Line Train Maintenance facility, is being delivered under the South East Program Alliance (SEPA) banner, part of the Level Crossing Removal Program.
Laing O'Rourke is undertaking an extensive upgrade to the facility with the construction of new and modification of existing facilities.
We have completed two previous projects at the TMF since 2020, these projects have been preparing the facility for this final stage.
Key responsibilities Lead a large multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of the overall project scope within the time, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
Ensure best practice approach is implemented with regards to project controls, and take a proactive approach in the management of risk & opportunities.
Drive high performance through collaboration, positive leadership, identification of risks, and interface with clients and authorities, and support the Project Director to ensure client and Stakeholder expectations are managed.
Actively promote continuous improvement and innovation; seek to learn from experiences of self and others to find better ways of doing things.
Build balanced teams with the right skills and behaviours; invest time and energy to coach and develop talent.
The ability to work with and influence stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes for all parties.
About you Extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projects, with experience in managing multiple stakeholders.
A Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical) or Construction Management.
Extensive construction experience including construction planning and management, leading teams, budgeting and planning, procurement, risk management, client management, dispute/issue resolution.
You will have a communication style that is adaptable from dealing with technical through to presenting information to asset owners/stakeholders.
The ability to work with and influence stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes for all parties.
Experience in a rail environment, particularly with V/Line will be advantageous.
