The Role As a mid-range Project Manager within the Education sector, you will be familiar with Victoria Schools Building Authority (VSBA), TAFE and Independent school projects, understanding the relevant processes required to successfully deliver as well as proven industry experience, including delivery of projects from inception to completion within the sector.
You will have the confidence to perform with minimal direction, able to provide the contractor with clear direction, respond quickly to RFI's, excellent organisation skills and proven ability to lead projects with professionalism and true collaboration with key stakeholders.
You will be the expert at juggling competing deadlines and using your supreme time management skills and ability to multitask to great effect in a fast-paced environment.
Experience Experience in the delivery of projects from inception to completion across multiple sectors will be considered beneficial with knowledge of VSBA & TAFE processes.
You will have previously had experience as a Project Manager on a variety of projects across the education sector environment.
You will be responsible for full life cycle project management including feasibility, project budgeting, reporting, engaging consultants, managing the design process, authority approval process, tendering and contract negotiation, managing construction works and directing the contractor.
You will have the ability to work autonomously and play a key role in maintaining a strong business network and delivering successful project outcomes.
Working closely with clients and other stakeholders, you will build strong, long-term client relationships for the client, creating trust and confidence in their brand.
Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum 5-10 years' experience in education sector (client-side project management) Exceptional communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated project management skills, including effective negotiation skills and decision-making abilities.
Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty, and ethics.
Demonstrated cultural and emotional intelligence.
