This role is to support the Specialist Valuer Appeals and others to manage the ongoing requirements of rating valuation appeals and objections including preparation for VCAT and court hearings.
Supporting the Specialist Valuers Appeals, Rating Authority Valuations team and the Deputy Valuer General (RAV), this role will require an individual with proven experience providing quality-assured and timely administration support and will be able to work closely with internal and external stakeholders including Legal Representatives, contract managers, engaged experts and valuers to ensure deliverables are completed in a timely manner and VGV's obligations are fulfilled.
Support the office in the management and daily administration requirements associated with Rating Valuation objections and VCAT appeals.
The preparation and processing of VCAT applications to ensure accurate and timely service delivery for VCAT and court hearings.
Provide a high level of support to the Specialist Valuer - Appeals including preparing, drafting and editing documentation and correspondence, maintaining reports, registers and undertaking title searches.
Managing VCAT Orders to schedule appointments, reminders and actions for all stakeholders including Contract Valuers and Land Use Legal.
Liaise with municipalities, legal representatives and property experts regarding valuation, expert evidence and submissions.
Assist others by providing administrative support so the Valuer Generals Office can defend valuations at VCAT and the courts in accordance with the Valuation of Land Act 1960.
Investigate and prepare correspondence, including reports and briefing notes.
