Knox Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established team in the Kenloch Ward. This is a 30-bed ward specialising in Vascular and Urology. About us Knox Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Victoria, caring for over 1.2 million people across Melbourne's east and outer east. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, we offer 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. All supported by the expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit. Our expert care team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and other professionals will ensure that your experience is the best it can be. This role will be housed within a brand-new ward on the 3rd floor of the hospital with lovely views and state of the art equipment. The team here work very closely together and have proven to be extremely welcoming to new starters. About the role As a Registered Nurse (Vascular/ Urology, 30 bed ward) your responsibilities will include: Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care Provide complex and multi-disciplinary care Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs Act as a role model for Safe Practice Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery Authority to Work in Australia Working with Children check (if relevant) Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA with a minimum 2 years experience Demonstrated experience in a surgical environment advantageous Compliance with ACQSHC National standards Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused Flexibility to work a roster of Morning and Afternoon shifts as well as Saturdays when required.
