Operating Services at University Geelong Main theatre offers a round-the-clock service with ten operating theatres.
Beyond elective surgeries, the department handles semi-urgent and emergency procedures.
Specialities encompass Cardiothoracic, ENT, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Oral Faciomaxillary, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Vascular and Robotic Surgery.
About the Role: The Registered Anaesthetics and PACU Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient-focused nursing care to those assigned to him/her, in order to achieve desired clinical outcomes.
You will work with and provide support to innovative teams who strive to maintain knowledge and excellence.
Successful applicants for this role will: Have excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge and excellent clinical skills.
Provide evidence-based, high-quality patient care.
Deliver consumer-centred care that meets best practice standards and in line with Barwon Health requirements.
Previous Anaesthetic and PACU experience is highly desirable.
