On behalf of our client, a global market leading building materials manufacturer, we are looking to secure a collaborative, highly experienced, industry respected Sales Director to lead, support and enhance their sales activity across Australia, and the APAC region. This significant role, within a highly respected, profitable, global business, is to provide strategic input and decision-making, lead & support the company's sales & growth strategy, within a multi functional matrix structure. Working with a stable, knowledgeable and respected team of industry experts you will develop and encourage ongoing strategic consistent business growth. Working closely with key internal and external stakeholders, including the Regional and international sales teams, management team, customers and industry bodies, exemplary communication, influencing and presentation skills are prerequisite. This is a challenging role in a complex and demanding environment that has responsibility for a significant budget contribution. Your responsibilities, if selected, will be to deliver expertise in sale performance, discipline, sales excellence and process compliance into an experienced and loyal sales function. Key business objectives and responsibilities: Lead and inspire a Sales Excellence culture company-wide – both in AU & regionally. Regular reporting and communicating directly with the APAC MD, Marketing Director, Sales Director NZ and the Boarder ELT and SMT, and other global functional leaders as needed. Collaboratively support the development and implementation of a regionally-tailored sales plan for Sales AU, CX and Corporate Accounts for APAC that aligns to the global objectives. Support, promote, develop and communicate the company's culture and vision to staff, customers and other stakeholders and continue to encourage an environment that supports great performance and positive morale. Develop strong partnerships across our homebuilder and component fabricator constituents, as well as non-traditional players emerging in off-site construction. Demonstrate a positive sales environment supported by strong customer partnerships, professional sales objectives and activities. Demonstrate collaboration and passion. Increase market share and support our customer to improve and grow their business – We're in it together. Ensure customer and relationship alignment with APAC MD and Sales Director NZ. The selected candidate will possess the following experience as a minimum: Proven success in a similar leadership sales role. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, Sales & Marketing preferred. Highly developed communication and presentation skills. Strong leadership and influencing skills. The ability to build, nurture and maintain strong business relationships. Strong strategic, commercial and critical thinking skills. Proven analytical aptitude. An understanding of Zero Harm safety philosophy. To succeed in this role you must be a credible, pragmatic leader, with high IQ and EQ, focused on driving positive profitable outcomes through your team both direct and indirect. You must be able to work with cross-functional teams and collaborate to achieve the best business outcomes. We are looking to secure a candidate who has recently held a senior leadership role in a manufacturing environment; industrial/construction market knowledge would be highly desirable.
