Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reporting to the Global Controller, provide support to the regional Financial Controller to manage the financial and management accounting across the business in Australia and internationally, including analysis of all financial and data systems and accounting.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are reconciled with sufficient and approval level of details in a timely manner.
Support timely reporting of tax return, GST, and other regulatory reporting initiatives.
Provide significant support with the annual financial statement audit and tax provision process.
Monitor GAAP changes and implement best practices.
Provide coverage for other finance team functions as needed.
Assist on upcoming ERP implementation and testing.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.
Qualifications CPA qualifications are preferred.
3+ years of experience within the Saa S industry.
Experience with global operations.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting under different accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS, AASB).
Exposure to tax accounting, GST, and BAS return preparation.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and ability to be both in the detail as well as understanding the bigger picture.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (with a strong focus on Excel, including complex functions).
Ability to prioritize and implement practical solutions.
Self-driven, naturally curious, questioning how and why, while being a problem solver, able to connect the dots or pivot if required.
Hard-working, meticulous; able to work independently as well as in a team setting.
Professional and personable demeanor.
Proven solid verbal and written communication skills.
