Responsible for hands-on delivery of management reports for a friendly family office in a busy and dynamic role. Our client, an investment management company in Geelong, has a full-time opportunity for a CPA or CA qualified Senior Accountant experienced working within numerous complex business entity structures. This role reports to the Financial Controller working in a team of 11 accounting professionals to deliver specialised financial reporting requirements imperative to support investment decision making, as well as managing projects. What you will do: This accounting role is responsible for ensuring that monthly reports are compiled and delivered to management and the Board in a timely and accurate fashion. This role is dynamic, requiring a highly analytical, well-organised, timely, and motivated individual who has a precise eye for detail, a passion for intrinsically understanding the numbers, and an ability to communicate them with ease. THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Delivering numerous month-end reports and consolidations every month for various entities and businesses. Preparing BAS statements for various entities. Meeting ongoing deadlines to ensure reporting timeframes. Developing budgets across a variety of organisations. Managing stakeholders across businesses, both internally and externally. THIS ROLE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR: General Ledger maintenance (involving processing of journals & preparation of balance sheet reconciliations). Maintaining cashflow forecasts. Preparation of consolidations, monthly board reports and other financial packs. Preparation of annual budgets and monthly reforecasts. Statutory requirements including BAS reporting, IAS, PAYG, FBT. Asset and Loan Register maintenance. Assisting in year-end audits and financial preparation with tax advisers. THIS IS WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: You will be a self-starter who has a demonstrated ability to take control of your schedule, create desired outcomes and provide exceptional service to clients (internal and external). You have an excellent understanding and practical application of all accounting/finance functions. Confidentiality and discretion are a must. THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE ACHIEVED ALREADY: 5+ years previous accounting experience preparing reports. Professionally qualified CA or CPA. Keen eye for detail and accuracy of numbers. Understanding of financials and the picture we are trying to present to stakeholders. Knowledge/experience with Xero and Excel. Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
