Senior Analyst, Portfolio Operations (Overlays) Portfolio Operations is one team with three streams of work - Core, Overlays and Product & Strategy.
This Senior Analyst role resides in the Overlays stream, where key functions include rebalancing, foreign exchange management, transaction cost analysis, derivatives framework implementation and trade processing management.
This role plays a key role in supporting the Overlays Investment Team by managing daily operations and ensuring all activities align with internal procedures and controls.
This role requires experience in Portfolio Operations, especially with both cleared and OTC derivatives, along with a solid understanding of the investment market, portfolio data, valuation, and transaction processing.
Experience with Aladdin is a plus.
The role involves maintaining a strong focus on risk management and governance, updating risk documentation, and supporting the implementation of new products and strategies.
A proactive, curious approach to problem-solving and a passion for improving processes are essential.
You will contribute to other Portfolio Operations tasks and provide expertise for Agency-wide projects and initiatives.
The key duties of the position include: Key Responsibilities Portfolio Operations: Prepare instructions for portfolio investment activities, including FX requirements for passive currency overlays.
Enhance Fund performance through efficient FX position management (rolling FFX).
Manage operational requirements for cleared and over-the-counter derivative execution, including regulation, clearing, and collateral management.
Analyse and report on Investment Manager execution using third-party TCA platforms.
Create new Overlays accounts on the Aladdin platform, coordinating with internal teams.
Review and execute Give Up Agreements with the Legal team.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and control protocols.
Contribute to projects to improve and develop the Portfolio Operations operating model.
Stakeholder Management: Actively participate within the Portfolio Operations team and broader Operations group, building strong internal relationships.
Proactively engage with key external stakeholders like the Custodian, ISDA Counterparties, and Execution Agents.
About You Do you have over 7 years of experience in Investment Operations, particularly with cleared and/or bilateral derivatives?Have you got experience with liquidity management and other treasury management functions within institutional funds management or custody services?Qualifications • Tertiary qualification in finance, economics, business, IT related disciplines• Postgraduate or professional qualifications come highly regarded.
