Senior Cyber Security Risk Management Specialist Start Date: 30 September 2024 Length: 9 months + 2 x 6-month extensions Location of work: ACT, SA, VIC Our government client is a leading agency dedicated to providing and supporting science and technology e Research services across the country.
They are looking for a highly motivated, proactive, and qualified Senior Cyber Security Risk Management Specialist to work within a project team providing expert advice and producing high quality artefacts.
Role Responsibilities: Provide Cybersecurity risk advice to significant investment portfolio and customer-driven research capability development projects, often having multiple interdependencies and interconnections, to prioritise and implement appropriate cyber controls.
Review and provide expert advice to improve cybersecurity documentation for networks and systems.
Review and provide expert advice on plans to improve effectiveness of cybersecurity controls required for implementation as a condition of system authorisation to operate.
Prepare system authorisation briefs, review and revise briefing material and reports on relevant cyber security matters to senior leadership.
Contribute to curating the Information Security Management System (ISMS) documentation suite to maintain compliance and certification against the ISO 27001 standard.
Contribute to ISO 27001 internal audit functions to improve the cybersecurity risk posture of research networks and systems.
Conduct and improve system vulnerability analysis reporting and auditing.
