About the Division Kindergarten Expansion and Pre-Prep Reform (KEPPR) works collaboratively across the Department and with the early childhood sector to undertake place-based service delivery and monitoring, support the ongoing supply of early childhood teachers and educators and deliver infrastructure projects to ensure the success of these reforms.
About the Role With the introduction of the Best Start Best Life reforms and the ongoing implementation of Three-Year-Old Kindergarten, we have an ongoing opportunity for a Senior Data Analyst to join our committed, collaborative, and supportive team.
The purpose of this role is to undertake policy development and data analysis, including the updating and utilisation of complex modelling tools, so strong data skills are essential.
Key responsibilities include: Understanding quantitative implications of policy views and decisions.
Conducting data analysis and translating data results into actionable insights.
Leveraging data insights to inform strategic business decisions.
Contributing to submissions for budget and cabinet committees.
Strengthening stakeholder relationships to drive reform initiatives.
This role provides a real opportunity for an individual with expertise in data analysis and/or economic modelling skills to expand and develop while contributing to this Government's signature social policy reform project.
Attributes To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate the Victorian Public Sector values, excel in a fast-paced changing environment, exceptional conceptual and analytical skills, and be able to juggle multiple tasks concurrently, even when faced with tight deadlines.
You will also enjoy working collaboratively across a wide range of projects for the Policy and Provision Branch and the broader KEPPR division as required.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience Experience in data manipulation and analysis.
Experience in Education - Early childhood.
