About this role An exciting opportunity now exists for a passionate Senior Manager with State Taxes, Stamp Duty and / or Land Tax expertise to join our Specialist Tax team, based in either Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney.
Our Specialist Tax team enjoys a diverse client portfolio, working across various industries including (but not limited to) financial services, energy and resources, health and aged care, not-for-profit, real estate and construction, and public sector.
In close collaboration with our Partners, you will be responsible for running client delivery teams and providing consulting support on a multitude of challenging and rewarding local and international engagements.
You'll be an integral member of a supportive, successful team who really love what they do, working alongside some of the best in the field.

You'll also contribute to the learning and development of our graduates and associates as one of Australia's leading graduate employers, as well as provide technical training sessions and coaching / mentoring other team members as required.
Key responsibilities Provide commercially focused advice to clients with a focus on state taxes, such as stamp duty and land tax Prepare lodgements, private ruling applications and exemption applications on a variety of state taxes matters Provide tailored advice to clients on complexities and developments in tax legislation and the potential implications for their business Cultivate and maintain client relationships while working closely with internal teams Drive growth while building a personal brand, leveraging internal and external networks to deliver enhanced career and client opportunities Provide mentorship, coaching and training opportunities to other team members, contributing to a culture of innovation and collaboration both within Specialist Tax and across the wider firm Skills and experience Qualification(s) and / or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Law, Accounting, or Business / Commerce, or other relevant professional or overseas qualification(s) Significant relevant experience in a similar environment, such as accounting or law Excellent stakeholder management, written and spoken communication skills, with an interest in developing strong client relationships Ability to interpret, formulate and present technical and legal advice to different audiences A willingness and ability to provide coaching and mentorship to less experienced team members If you're interested in this role but don't feel that you match every single one of our requirements, we would still love to hear from you and explore the unique skillset and attributes that you can bring to the team.
