About the role We are pleased to announce that we are inviting candidate applications for the role of Senior Manager - Tax.
This is a rare opportunity to oversee and manage global Group tax accounting and transparency reporting.
The position will manage the tax reporting including the One Source Tax Provision system for the global Group.
As part of the Tax Leadership Group, the role will assist with the management of the global effective tax rate and provide tax support to the global and regional tax teams, assist with country-by-country reporting, be directly involved in global projects, global tax governance, systems and process improvements.
The position has close working relationships with Global and Regional tax teams, finance and legal.
This is a key tax leadership position that will require strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
To be successful in this role, you will bring a background in global tax roles, exceptional knowledge of tax laws, a passion for problem solving and strong commercial, numeracy and execution skills.

What you will be doing Managing the external reporting for global tax; Managing the One Source Tax Provision globally and preparation of relevant Group tax disclosures; Assisting with the management of the global effective tax rate, including management of tax losses, efficient repatriation of profits, tax efficient structures, thin capitalisation, utilisation of tax losses; Global compliance to Orica's Tax Standard, Tax Procedures and Tax Guidelines; Supporting the management of the relationships with Revenue authorities and external advisors globally.
What you will bring Role ideally suited to individuals with a minimum of twelve (12) years' experience in a similar global professional accounting/legal environment or corporate taxation; Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, law or similar; CPA or ACA or equivalent; Experience in international tax law and IFRS tax reporting; Knowledge of SAP and Thomson Reuters One Source products is an advantage; Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders; Unquestioned reputation for integrity, ethics, personal values and solid character.
