About the role Reporting to the Applications Manager, our new Senior Power BI Developer will be responsible for creating data models, reports and dashboards for Payroll and the broader Finance team.
The successful candidate will also provide support to the Solution Architect when presenting to the executive team and senior management.
Key Accountabilities include: Engage various stakeholders to gather and prioritise business requirements Drive the design of interactive Power BI reports and data models which transform data into valuable business insights Perform data analysis to present insights through powerful and interactive dashboards Secure the access of Power BI reports and dashboards, as well as limit the access of confidential information to the appropriate users Ensure the successful delivery of new enhancements or complex/urgent defects in order to minimise errors that could impact the business Showcase Power BI functionalities by creating proof of concepts that add value to the business Mentor Power Users and other business users in development and deployment of data models, reports and dashboards Work collaboratively with Power Users to perform data extraction/transformation, creating the required data set for the dashboard About you Must have 5+ experience as a Power BI Developer, conducting data modelling, dashboards and report development.
As well as designing, developing and implementing Power BI visuals with related fields and measurements.
Demonstrated experience implementing RBAC groups/policies and support of row-level / column-level security measures in Power BI, to ensure large or complex data is accessible to correct users.
Established experience with prototyping, designing and requirement analysis.
Proven experience in Power BI administration such as setting up connections of multiple types, gateway configuration and monitoring.
Deep knowledge and expertise in AWS data services and complex SQL scripting skills.
Tertiary qualifications in IT (desirable) Salary for this position is commensurate to the successful candidate's aligned skills and experience to the position.
