This role will see you working in a team environment delivering the fortnightly end to end pay cycle across multiple companies, including processing Autopays, timesheet employees, pay run reconciliations, terminations, STP lodgement, reporting, audits, and query management.
At Aus Net, we're a team of 1,400 employees who service over 1.5 million Victorians.
We own and operate three regulated networks: electricity distribution, gas distribution, and the state-wide electricity transmission network.
With a Hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is a 12-month FTC and based in Southbank and is part of the Payroll team.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: Deliver a successful fortnightly pay cycle (business wide), both accurately and on time.
Provide payroll business support in relation to End to End Payroll matters from creating New Starters, estimating and processing of Terminations/Redundancies/post pay processes such as periodical reconciliations to bank, GL, and third parties.
Monthly & annual reconciliations all legislative requirements (multiple states) for each company regarding Payroll Tax, Super and STP, etc (end to end Payroll), as well as Audit requests (internal and external).
Effectively manage competing priorities whilst working within a fast-paced working environment.
Actively collaborate and connect with the other team members to assist with workload, share insights, process flows/checklists, and lessons learned.
Create timely, effective, and automated reporting.
Write new or adjust written processes for the functions performed.
Drive continuous improvement in the delivery of payroll services through the development of controls, processes, and systems and provision of reporting and documentation.
You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Relevant training and experience or qualification in payroll and/or accounting.
Sound knowledge of payroll processing procedures and practices in multiple states and employment types.
SAP systems experience, minimum 5 years (mandatory).
Ability to report and analyse payroll data using Spinifex to pull from both Success Factors and/or SAP for Wage Type reporting (Source of truth for most people information is Success Factors).
Config back-end with SAP Payroll System Tables (desirable).
SAP Testing/Implementation experience (desirable).
Success Factors and Employee Central testing experience (desirable).
Strong mathematical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Self-Driven / Proactive.
Consultative approach to problem-solving, prepared to make decisions and challenge the status quo whilst demonstrating accountability and responsibility for outcomes.
Strong flexibility and resilience to be able to handle change and work fluctuations and periodical high-pressure situations.
