The Privacy and Customer Trust (P&CT) team plays a crucial role in supporting our ambition by working closely with highly skilled cross-functional teams to successfully develop, implement, and continuously improve our privacy and customer trust strategy and framework.
What you'll be doing You will be a senior and trusted specialist in the P&CT team at Wesfarmers One Digital (including One Pass, One Data, and Catch).
You'll work closely with other members of the cross functional P&CT team (which includes other privacy professionals plus data governance, legal, sustainability and corporate affairs team members), as well team members across the broader One Digital division.
You will be a trusted partner and play a key role in delivering privacy enhancing value for One Digital, and our key stakeholders including customers and Wesfarmers brands.
Key duties and deliverables: You will be a key part of the team that ensures the privacy and customer trust framework is structured, scalable, and sustainable, and can be continuously improved and adapted for rapidly changing customer, business, and regulatory expectations (including the upcoming Privacy Act changes).
As well as privacy related frameworks, you will support the development and implementation of Responsible AI governance frameworks, policies, and procedures as they relate to enhancing our member and customer experiences.
Provide expert advice to cross-functional teams made up of data, advanced analytics, marketing, customer experience, customer support, product, technology and security experts to successfully develop and implement the privacy and customer trust framework and new data, product and partner related initiatives.
Strong project management skills with an excellent understanding of technology and data sharing across functional teams and businesses.
Support the implementation of our strategic business roadmap by engaging broadly on privacy and customer trust, and the responsible uses of data, to support value creation through better customer experiences, data enablement, and growth.
Lead (and support other team members) in collaborating with front line business and technical team members at all stages of product and data use case design to develop, implement, and monitor best practice privacy and customer trust enhancing features across the data lifecycle, including: customer journeys and consent management processes to inform customers and seek consent as part of a great customer experience across our ecosystem; and techniques, technologies, and systems to preserve and enhance privacy and the responsible use of data across the divisions, including new business ventures.
Lead (and support other team members in conducting) privacy impact assessments on a broad range of use cases across all stages of the data lifecycle ranging from direct marketing to website personalisation, and advanced analytics.
Support assessments, audits, and improvements to our privacy and customer trust framework across One Digital.
Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of privacy and customer trust related policies, processes (including controls and assurance related processes), training and standard templates, with a focus on supporting the empowerment of front-line business and technical teams make informed privacy risk-aware decisions.
What you will need to be successful: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g.
business, law, information systems or technology, computer science) or equivalent experience Experience in retail or digital businesses IAPP (CIPP, CIPM, CIPT) and/or ISACA (CDPSE) certifications or similar relating to privacy governance or operations desirable Strong knowledge and experience with the Australian Privacy Act, OAIC guidance, and IAPP (or similar) frameworks Deep commercial understanding of privacy best practices, business, and technology related issues Proficiency in digital product design and implementation and the role of privacy-by-design in that Proficiency in PIA methodologies, and applying to the full data lifecycle of personal information handling from collection, processing, storage, and destruction Great written and verbal communication and influencing skills Ability to thrive in ambiguity and an intense focus on driving practical risk aware commercial outcomes Good understanding of data governance policies and procedures Hands on experience with privacy programs in a professional role with experience in building scalable and privacy-by-design systems and solutions Why One Digital and Catch?
