Production, Planning & Scheduling (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Leading national reinforced concrete pipes & precast company Australia Production leadership with above industry remuneration Full relocation package on offer (if required) Our client, a leading manufacturer and supplier of reinforced concrete pipes and other associated concrete products, is in search of an experienced production professional to take on a manufacturing management role providing hands-on leadership and supervision across the operation's shop floor (staff and contractors) - safety, productivity, environment, quality, and maintenance.
This position will be responsible for the operation and production of reinforced concrete pipes at our client's main manufacturing facility located in South East Queensland.
The business has a strong national profile underpinned by its continued strategic capital investment, strong push for innovative technology and focus on the development of its people.
Reporting to the Regional General Manager QLD, your key responsibilities are boots-on-ground leadership, high level of engagement across the shop floor, drive productivity performance against OEMs plant output specifications, asset maintenance, safety and strong interface between sales and operations planning.
About You: Tertiary qualified in an engineering or equivalent discipline would be highly regarded (but not essential).
Must have proven skills and knowledge of vertical dry cast concrete pipe technology.
Knowledge of 5 S, lean management or other workplace organisation methodologies.
Strong hands-on leadership across the shop floor and demonstrated ability to drive improvements.
Proven leadership with a strong customer and people focus.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of financials – stocktake, production, reports, cost control, budgeting.
