How you will make contributions that matter: We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer with both management and hands-on experience as a food processing engineer to join our team at our Allansford manufacturing plant, about 15 minutes from Warrnambool on the beautiful Great Ocean Road.
You will bring to the role your practical capability in plant troubleshooting in both the retail and bulk production work areas.
The role covers the end-to-end project lifecycle, supporting the development of business cases with the Leadership Team and then project managing through to end-user handover.
You will be responsible for delivering a range of capital projects up to the value of $1 million.
This will include: Design, costing, submission, and implementation of capital projects on site.
Managing and mentoring of direct reports.
Working cross-functionally to ensure timely and on-budget project delivery.
Ensuring Health and Safety standards and policies are adhered to.
Ongoing focus on continuous improvement across process and methodology to ensure best practice project delivery.
About you: Tertiary qualification in Engineering, or equivalent experience with CAPX experience.
Proven experience in the delivery of capital projects, ideally within a manufacturing or other industrial environment and Hazop facilitation.
Experience with business case development & contract management.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to form relationships and influence at all levels.
The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with or knowledge of Auto CAD would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Experience with process engineering design and equipment specification.
Experience in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industry, or other highly automated manufacturing environments would be beneficial.
