THE ROLE Join our Gas Networks & Services Team as a Project Manager based in our Derrimut office .
As a crucial member of our Capital Works Team, you will be reporting to the Operations Manager.
Your primary responsibilities will involve guiding the dedicated delivery teams of Project Managers and Engineers to ensure the safe, cost-effective, and high-quality construction of critical projects within the Gas Distribution Network.
You will be expected to meet our client's requirements, KPIs, and financial targets within Downer's delivery framework.
Some of the key responsibilities include: Guide and coach others to promote a Zero-Harm culture proactively and visibly.
Responsible for implementing and contributing to developing project delivery plans to manage and control projects.
Provide leadership & direction to achieve project objectives (includes standards and procedures and provide advice regarding technical issues).
Manage projects following the Downer Project Management Delivery model.
Support the estimating team to ensure robust tender inputs and provide support through Downer Governance reviews to ensure best practice estimating.
ABOUT YOU Ideally, you should have a tertiary engineering qualification or something similar, a current driver's licence, and a proven track record as a senior project manager or project manager looking to step up, preferably with experience in gas or civil projects .
Knowledge of gas distribution networks and pressure regulation facilities is preferred.
