THE ROLE Senior Project Officer The Senior Project Officer within the Office of the Deputy Secretary is responsible for working across the division and organisation to lead the successful delivery of complex projects.
Reporting to the Manager of the Office of the Deputy Secretary, the Senior Project Officer will support the Deputy Secretary and the Aboriginal Self-determination and Outcomes division to meet its obligations and strategic priorities.
Working in the Office of the Deputy Secretary, the Senior Project Officer will have the responsibility to offer integrated communication and project management support to the Division, in line with the strategic priorities, initiatives and projects.
The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment that requires capacity to exercise sound judgement and the ability to coordinate relevant information to ensure consistency and innovation are applied to integrated communication and engagement strategies and deliver end-to-end communication materials.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Prepare and present detailed, comprehensive reports, briefs and project plans on complex cross-divisional issues and priorities.
Provide authoritative, operational and strategic advice on the management of requests from the Secretary's office, ministerial offices, and key stakeholders across the department.
Maintain confidentiality and display sound judgment when managing sensitive information and issues to provide quality and relevant information in line with government policies.
COVID-19 VACCINATION The department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice , given their individual circumstances.
As of June 2023, DFFH does not require evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status.
