This role offers the opportunity to be part of a significant project implementing a new market risk solution.
The successful candidate will have the chance to work with large data-sets, propose end-to-end solutions, and lead technical activities across the Software Development Life-cycle within Agile projects.
This role also includes people management responsibilities, providing leadership to a small team of technical specialists.
What you'll be doing: Oversee the development of an in-house capability for data modelling and preparation.
Write optimised code for processing large data-sets utilising Python.
Propose end-to-end solution options for larger pieces of work.
Ensure adherence to organisational framework and processes.
Lead technical activities across the Software Development Life-cycle within Agile projects.
Provide leadership to a team of technical specialists.
What you'll need: 10+ years experience within the IT Industry, specialising in data engineering design, coding, and development.
5+ years experience in writing optimised code utilising Python for processing large data-sets.
Experience with Py Spark & Palantir Foundry is highly desirable.
5+ years experience leading a team of Developers (on and offshore).
Financial Markets and/or Market Risk banking experience is desirable.
Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline.
