About the Role: Location: Melbourne, VIC / Hybrid Contract Type: Full Time, initially 12 Months Fixed Term (with the possibility of extension) Overview: Skillfield is seeking an experienced Software Engineer for an exciting consulting project.
This role is ideal for a seasoned consultant looking to broaden their experience in a dynamic environment.
The primary objective of this project is to develop, implement, and maintain Golang and Java-based applications in a highly secure enterprise environment, ensuring they meet high standards of performance.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain applications using Golang and Java, with a focus on microservices architecture.
Ensure the high performance and responsiveness of applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including other developers and leaders, to ensure project success.
Utilize Open Shift, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD practices to enhance application deployment and integration.
Conduct J-Unit testing and secure code scanning to maintain code quality.
Work with Docker and Kubernetes to manage containerized applications.
Required Skills & Experience: Proficiency in Golang and Java application development, particularly within a microservices architecture.
Experience with the Spring Framework.
Familiarity with Open Shift, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD practices.
Knowledge of J-Unit testing and secure code scanning practices.
Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to the overall project goals.
Additional Information: Australian citizenship is required for this role.
The successful candidate will be required to sign a general NDA, with additional per-project NDAs as applicable.
