Solution Architect Payment Systems

In this role you will design, describe, and manage the technical vision for specific solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
In the context of merchant acquiring, the Solution Architect focuses on integrating payment systems, enhancing EFTPOS devices, and detecting and preventing fraud.
Responsibilities:
System Architecture:
Evaluate existing computer system architecture, emphasizing design considerations.
Analyze the entire enterprise system to identify areas for improvement.
Solution Design:
Create and maintain procedures, processes, and designs for computer systems.
Collaborate with IT professionals to develop and integrate solutions.
Payment Integration:
Work closely with development teams to integrate payment services.
Ensure compliance with payment schemes (e.g., Visa, Mastercard) and industry standards.
EFTPOS Device Enhancement:
Architect solutions for integrating EFTPOS devices into the bank's systems.
Address compatibility, security, and performance aspects.
Fraud Prevention:
Collaborate with security teams to implement fraud detection mechanisms.
Utilize technologies like machine learning models and rule-based systems.
Complex Systems Design:
Leverage experience in designing complex integrated systems within the financial services industry.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience (typically 8+ years) as a Solution Architect.
Strong knowledge of payment protocols (e.g., ISO 8583) and industry trends.
Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and microservices.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
