Due to substantial growth, we are looking to expand the team and you will play a key role in supporting the expansion of the NBA product for Fan Duel as the 2024 season is about to commence.

So, what does "winning" look like at Fan Duel? Sports Traders at Fan Duel are the people behind the odds that our customers bet on.
We utilise stats, in-house models, industry news, and our opinions to help formulate what we believe are the most accurate odds, and then manage those odds throughout their lifecycle.
This includes moving prices when breaking news hits or using our in-house models to move prices live during games if players get injured.
If you have a creative mind that will help, as identifying new and exciting opportunities to improve our already best-in-class experience for our customers will be a major part in this role.
Key Responsibilities Include: In time, you will be able to compile your own odds on a range of different markets using statistics and trends.
You will monitor our prices and make moves where necessary, taking into consideration things like player news, customer behavior, industry prices, etc.
Learn how to use our sports models to fluctuate our odds throughout the game depending on what is happening in that game at the time.
Crunch numbers to identify player tradesman trends post-event which will allow us to implement the best practices going forward.
Collaborate with various teams around the business to manage things like our liabilities and ensuring we remain compliant across our different jurisdictions.
The Fan Duel team is based in Melbourne and we adopt a flexible 5-day working week policy based on customer needs to ensure a great work-life balance for our staff.
There is a requirement for some weekend work, but shifts will generally fall between 8am – 6pm allowing you to still have your nights! About You If you love NBA, have a high attention to detail, can remain calm under pressure and can communicate effectively within teams, then this could be the role for you.
Putting our customers front of mind is the most important in this role; the rest we can teach you – so we are open to recent graduates! However, we do ask that you have: Knowledge of the NBA league, including trades and news from the latest off-season.
An understanding of statistics and probability with a love for data and numbers.
Proficiency in Excel and being a genuine team player.
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in (mathematics, statistics, analytics, finance, accounting, etc) OR strong ability & interest in doing math-related problems.
Knowledge of NBA (any other additional US Sports knowledge is highly regarded).
We don't expect anyone to walk in the door and know everything at the start, so we take our training seriously and make sure that the successful candidate is well supported.
This role is a hybrid position that has the ability to work from home a few days per week, however, at the start of your role, we require most days to be in the Melbourne office to help with training and onboarding.
