The Commission promotes, supports and protects the rights of consumers, families, carers and supporters.
The Commission's responsibilities include monitoring government's progress in reforming the system and ensuring the system meets the expectations of people with lived experience of mental illness or psychological distress, their families, carers and supporters.
About the role: The Senior Insights Analyst will play a key role in driving initiatives that supports the Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission (MHWC) to monitor the quality, safety, and performance of the mental health system, outcomes for the Victorian Community and government's progress towards implementing recommendations from the Royal Commission on Mental Health.
The role reports to the Manager, System Performance and Monitoring and works in a multi-disciplinary team of data scientists, project officers and analysts.

A skilled analyst ideally from an audit or consulting background with experience in market intelligence and monitoring, risk or governance and developing systems and frameworks to support organisational strategic direction.
Passionate about building effective working relationships across government departments.
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate: Provide authoritative advice on trends, risks and issues and support business needs through detailed data analysis, narrative, visualisation and communication of insights.
Identify current and future data requirements and trends, to provide recommendations for system improvements for the mental health system.
Set up systems and processes to enable analysis and reporting of mental health and wellbeing system performance.
Advanced skills in data analysis, market intelligence, economics, finance, risk or governance ideally in a complex organisational environment.
