Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Industrial Services Key role within the Operations Team South-eastern Location ABOUT THE COMPANY Join an industry leader in the distribution, service and support of specialist equipment sourced from world class industrial product providers that are utilised by many Australian and New Zealand contractors and municipalities to service environmental, civil, mining, and industrial industries.
ABOUT THE ROLE As a Strategic Procurement Specialist , you will play a critical role in shaping and executing a progressive and commercially sound sourcing and procurement strategy.
Working closely with the Head of Operations, you will instrumental in driving transformational procurement initiatives that ensure supply chain practices are to industry-leading standards.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Head of Operations and key stakeholders to define, develop and implement the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Strategy.
Establish and maintain a governance framework for vendor pre-qualification, supplier onboarding, and sourcing in line with company policies, legislative requirements and best practices.
Create category specific solutions and establish preferred supplier partnerships.
Contribute to business profitability through effective cost control and procurement strategies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating prices and commercial terms.
Manage supplier additions and removals, ensuring compliance with procurement standards.
Support periodic procurement reporting and maintain accurate procurement documentation.
Your Key Competencies will include: Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in procurement and supply chain management.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage complex equipment logistics.
