STUDENT SAFEGUARDING MANAGER (TEMPORARY TO COVER MATERNITY LEAVE) Salary: £38,345 - £40,595 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen to join the College's Safeguarding Team.
In this key safeguarding role, you will work with very vulnerable students where specific safeguarding, prevent, or child protection issues have been identified.
These include young people on the Looked After Children Register and will also include some students who have criminal records.
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person who has the ability to be understanding, responsive, calm, supportive, and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
You will work with students, staff, and external agencies to support those students through difficult times and ensure that they are safeguarded from harm.
The successful candidate should have a Degree Level qualification or equivalent (ideally in Health and Social Care or Advice and Guidance) and must have completed or be willing to complete the Level 2 Safeguarding training for designated staff and undertake any relevant training associated with the post.
Experience in Prevent, Social Work, and familiarity with the Early Help Approach and Strategy is desirable.
