The Opportunity: The KBR Land Domain is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the development of engineering artefacts for a sustainment project.
This position is a full time, permanent opportunity based in Melbourne and requires an active AGSVA Clearance.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct requirements derivation and analysis, ensuring alignment with high-level system requirements and customer expectations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document detailed system requirements, including performance, functional, and interface requirements.
Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices and ensure consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
Support the development of verification and validation plans to confirm that systems meet all derived requirements.
Review technical safety cases and hazard logs.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of subsystems.
Engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate requirements, progress, and technical challenges.
Contribute to risk management activities, identifying potential issues related to requirements and proposing mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, particularly in the defence sector.
Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering.
3-5 years experience in systems engineering, with a focus on requirements derivation.
Familiarity with defence systems and standards.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate high-level requirements into detailed technical specifications.
Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or equivalent.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
AGSVA security clearance.
