Leadership position managing business risk profile and leading a team to deliver complex assurance activities.
Our client is seeking an experienced operational risk leader that has a strong people management background, deep technical knowledge of risk and compliance regulation and frameworks, and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
In this role, you will be accountable for leading the Assurance Team, managing team performance, setting objectives, and allocating responsibilities and workloads.
You will support the business in reviewing risk profiles and control environments, and participate in Risk Management Forums (RMFs), including the preparation of specialist content.
The role also involves providing risk advisory support to help the business make informed risk management decisions, enhancing risk awareness and capabilities, and working with Control Owners to develop remediation plans and effective risk controls.
Additionally, you will identify opportunities to automate and simplify the controls environment, support regulatory control attestations, and ensure compliance with control objectives.
Key requirements for the role: Strong experience with Operational Risk Management Frameworks and detailed knowledge of risk processes.
Analytical skills for analysing and interpreting risk and controls data to identify trends and solutions.
Proven ability to deliver risk management objectives and pragmatic solutions to complex issues.
Deep technical knowledge of risk and compliance regulation, frameworks, and external regulatory obligations.
Leadership experience managing high-performing teams in a dynamic and high-workload environment.
Ability to maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including external regulatory bodies.
Experience in managing and designing controls across diverse business environments.
A customer-centric mindset with an ability to embed risk management into everyday activities.
