Team Leader Mental Health Clinician in Private CYMHS Relational Minds Mental Health Clinician and Team Leader We are recruiting for two positions: a full-time Team Leader and a part-time Mental Health Clinician.

We provide Parent Support for families with children suffering from mental illness.

We believe that individual therapy alone for children and adolescents may not be enough for recovery.
Parents and Carers are the secret weapon to help their kids develop emotionally; they just need education and support.
We achieve this using the principles of Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy.
These principles are embedded in our organization as our model for treating each other and self-care.
Our team comprises clinicians from multiple disciplines (medical, nursing, and allied health).
We are based in Sunbury and Mildura and provide Telehealth services to many parts of Regional Australia.

Role Purpose and Philosophy The Team Leader role is suited to a mental health practitioner with a passion for helping children grow emotionally while leading a team.
We welcome applicants with backgrounds in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Mental Health Nursing, or other relevant disciplines (including experience with Out-of-home-care children).
Key Responsibilities: Monitor and guide the operational activities of the clinic.
Collaborate closely with the therapeutic leader to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Engage families in assessment of their young person's presenting issues.
Co-develop mental health formulations and support plans.
Empower families through guidance and scaffolding.
Utilize our Parenting Support Program to educate parents on therapeutic parenting skills.
Our Offering You will be trained in: Developing holistic management plans based on neurobiology and attachment theory principles.
Basic skills required to relate to and support families using Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy.
Delivering the Parent Support Program individually and in groups.
Support Provided: Regular team clinical review meetings with Psychiatry oversight and supervision.
Training, clinical supervision, and reflective practice supervision.
Administrative support for day-to-day needs.
Opportunities for education and professional development.
Flexible working hours to accommodate personal needs.
Key Selection Criteria / Performance Standards Interest in working with parents and families is essential.
Experience in the assessment and treatment of young people with mental illness is desired.
Experience with trauma-informed therapy approaches is desirable.
Ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team.
Alignment with organizational values regarding communication and conflict resolution.
Essential Requirements Registration with relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., AHPRA, AASW).
Undertake a National Criminal Record Check and a Working with Children Check.
Maintain valid professional indemnity membership.
Compliance with discipline-specific Code of Ethics.
Demonstrate compliance with Continuous Professional Development requirements.
Valid driver's license for the State of Victoria (if applicable).
The role offers flexible hours and can be a hybrid (home/clinic) arrangement.
