Reporting to the National Manager Liability Claims, the successful candidate will support the management of a variety of complex public liability and professional indemnity claims across Australia and provide technical direction and coaching to the Liability Claims team.
You'll be responsible for: Effectively interpret market information, legislative changes, and performance information to identify and act on opportunities or areas requiring improvement.
Work collaboratively with the Technical Specialists and Team Managers to identify development opportunities for individuals and the team.
Develop, update, and maintain all policies and procedures.
Provide technical expertise and support to ensure ongoing quality decisions and outcomes, including review and maintenance of the internal Dispute Resolution process for Liability Claims.
Participate in business development opportunities, including policy wording health-checks, technical and claims commentary in business and stakeholder presentations.
About you: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or industry qualifications.
Experience in an Insurance, Legal, and/or Claims environment.
Ability to plan, prioritise, and organise tasks effectively while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy, quickly identifying errors or inconsistencies.
Ability to recognise, avert, manage, and escalate conflicts to enable effective and timely resolution in accordance with organisational processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact, and influence.
