About The Role Reporting to the Field Supervisor, the position will be responsible for day-to-day activities in the activation & assurance work in customer premises of the NBN network.
The role is a Permanent Full-Time position and has openings in Melbourne, Victoria and Hobart, Tasmania.
Seeking a self-motivated, safety-orientated, and autonomous Telecommunication Field Technician to work on our Telecommunications (NBN) contracts with experience working on customer premises.
The successful candidate will require aerial, copper and fibre accredited skills to perform assurance & installation activities in customer premises, as well as testing and fault diagnostics in the NBN Network.
You will also become a mentor within our traineeship program supporting the development of new technicians into the Telecommunications industry.
What You'll Be Doing Work closely with the operations team to ensure contractual KPI's are achieved Providing A class customer service Liaise with the field supervisor to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner Install aerial fibre and copper within the power corridor The installation & activation of NBN in the customer premises Test and diagnose basic faults within the NBN Network Mentoring & supporting our Traineeship program Working at various sites to meet client expectations Site Auditing About You To ensure success in this role, you will possess extensive experience working on NBN technologies at customer premises and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
You will also possess the following: Experience working in the telecommunications industry and hold a Certificate III in Telecommunications or similar Thorough understanding of FTTN & FTTP First class customer experience in delivering exceptional customer service NBN Enable Strong knowledge of cabling at customer premises Test and diagnose basic faults within the NBN Network Aerial accredited to install aerial fibre and copper Obtain a high-level quality of work with no defects Comply with the company's productivity, safety, and quality standards Identify potential hazardous situations and take corrective actions accordingly Nurture a work environment where OHS & E issues are dealt with proactively Part of the contractual requirements, the successful applicant will need to complete an in-clinic full functional medical along with an Australian Federal Police Check.
