Trainer and Assessor (Graduate Diploma of Engineering)
to be part of our team at ECA College in our Melbourne office.
ECA College is a standalone VET Course Provider uniquely positioned to deliver high-quality education to both domestic and international students that want to carve a career in Australia. The core focus of ECA College is on education of students and their development to improve their technical skills and competencies in order to be on top of challenges of the dynamic employers in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
Hold an engineering degree to train and assess Graduate Diploma of Engineering.
Understand the framework of Competency-based assessment, RTO standards, and training and assessment procedures.
Collaborate and communicate actively with the Academic Manager.
Mentor and report student progressions to the Academic Manager and Student Services.
Meet deadlines when marking assessments and provide sufficient, fair, and valid feedback.
Focus on learning progression of students by providing continuous support.
Map out and modify the resources available for training according to relevant and current industry.
Participate in post-validation program per term to support the Course Leads.
Support the Academic Manager in fulfilling practical tasks and assessment competency expectations.
Ensure the current competency level of the lectures and assessment materials.
Deliver engaging training and encourage students to demonstrate their practical understanding.
As the successful candidate you will need:
A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122).
Engineering degrees background preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
Effective communication of complex technical information across all engineering disciplines.
Right to live and work in Australia as a permanent resident/citizen or holding a valid visa.
Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.
