Transmission & Distribution Lead, Renewables

We are seeking a Technical Lead, Transmission & Distribution to join a growing energy team; this role can be based in one of their many offices across Australia.
About the Role This role involves working within their growing energy team, focusing on the concept, detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of substations.
The position supports various Network Service Providers (NSP) across Australia and has a national footprint covering all states and territories.
Key Responsibilities Engage with NSPs across Australia to develop new opportunities.
Build and lead a team to deliver projects nationwide.
Manage the development of design and procurement deliverables.
Review detailed design documents from subcontractors and equipment suppliers for compliance with Australian Standards.
Actively participate in and support project delivery.
Contribute to various aspects of project delivery and construction management.
Provide site-based support for projects across Australia as required (some travel expected).
Skills & Experience Tertiary qualifications in Engineering recognized in Australia, preferably with Chartered Engineer status.
Over 10 years of experience in Transmission & Distribution projects, with at least 5 years as a Design Manager working for an NSP in substation design and development.
Experience in primary, secondary, and automation system design for substations on renewable and conventional utility-scale power generation projects.
Strong understanding of Australian industry codes and standards, particularly the National Electricity Rules (NER).
Proven experience in leading a team managing detailed design and execution of power generation projects.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
