About the role Viterra is seeking a transport manager to join our logistics team in a key supply chain management role.
This role will work with the wider logistics team to manage the road and rail logistics side of our storage and handling business.
With a focus on maximising freight efficiency, you will maintain and foster relationships with freight providers, participate in improvement projects and pricing and planning for future freight requirements.
Duties Oversee the movement of freight (road and rail) within the Viterra storage and handling network Ensure all compliance requirements are met Undertake supply and demand analysis and forward planning of freight needs Manage freight provider relationships; monitor and manage performance against KPIs.
Lead negotiations and tender processes with new providers to provide strategic value to the business.
Continually review and improve road and rail arrangements within Viterra in order to identify improvement opportunities.
