About the opportunity The Yield Improvement Manager is responsible for supporting the creation and leading of a centralised yield optimisation function and team across all brands and building a yield optimisation hub.
This role is accountable for in-year enterprise yield programs in addition to proactive yield remediation.
This role will be responsible for reporting on yield optimisation programs, documentation of yield optimisation strategy, analysis, and implementing process improvement.
This role will be required to provide financial and commercial analytics acumen expertise, stakeholder management, and support the sales team with yield management insights.
What you'll deliver with us Assist in establishing and managing the yield optimisation team accountable for oversight and execution of in-year enterprise yield programs across all freight products, in line with the Australia Post pricing strategy supporting the product requirements.
Responsible for the proactive yield remediation program directly contributing to profit outcomes including contract remediation, surcharge adherence and other yield programs as agreed.
Responsible for reporting on yield optimisation programs in respect to progress to financial plan and escalating any early detection of variance to plan.
Lead the documentation of quality, simple, transparent and up to date yield optimisation operational processes.
Enact yield process improvement in line with the strategic pricing architecture, policy and financial yield Realisation.
Enact workflow improvement to make it easier for our sales teams to enter into customer yield remediation conversations with supporting data and analysis.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure that yield optimisation delivers on the key principles of transparency, simplicity, and promotes process standardisation.
Responsible for profit and commercial outcomes through the effective execution of strategies which improve yield and maintain/grow market share.
Prepare operational team reporting on yield activity as input into the Pricing Forums as required.
Develop clear work instructions, simplicity and consistency in standards, held in a team accessible location for good governance practice.
Adhere to pricing policy and procedures that provides yield governance that is consistent with corporate governance, risk and audit requirements.
Responsible for yield application within the parameters agreed by the business to ensure margin is optimised between channels.
Follow appropriate procedure to report non-compliance or business risk to ensure that corrective action is taken.
Assist with continuously developing the team's capabilities, ensuring that the team can deliver improved performance through greater consistency, efficiency, accuracy and trusted reputation in the organisation.
About you You will be a curious and commercial individual, unafraid of working with large data sets and with a high interest in business and the end goal of profitability.
You'll also need: Attention to detail and the ability to predict trends & provide insights.
Mathematical awareness and a willingness to be stretched intellectually and technically.
Able to try new ways of looking at problems, an attitude to dive into issues, and great stakeholder engagement skills.
