Administration Officer - Rates & Revenue Greater Shepparton City Council – Shepparton VIC Salary: $70,960.76 per annum Closing: Friday 29 November 2017 Full time - Permanent We have an opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual to join the Rates and Revenue Team as an Administration Officer.
If you have accounts receivable experience, have worked with a high volume of transactions, are an effective communicator, and a good problem solver, you will be a great fit with our team.
Key responsibilities of the role include: Taking care of accounts receivable processes, including producing tax invoices, credit notes, and monthly sundry debtor statements for all Council departments; Providing great internal and external customer service; Ensuring Council's customer direct debit records are maintained, receipting payments, and following up dishonoured payments; Processing rating transactions, including supplementary valuations; Maintaining Council's property ownership records and name and address register; Reconciling customer accounts and processing financial adjustments.
The ability to learn new systems and processes, adjust to competing demands, and maintain a high level of attention to detail are essential skills to be successful in the role.
You'll be joining an experienced and multi-skilled team who are focused on providing great customer service while ensuring optimisation of Council's revenue functions.
You'll be supported with on-the-job training that connects your experience to our systems, processes, and people.
Additionally, there's opportunity to learn and grow through exposure to Council's broader revenue functions.
