As a senior member of the executive team, the CFO will play a pivotal role, partnering with the MD to offer fresh perspectives, challenge conventional thinking, and provide strategic insights that push the business forward in line with its growth expectations.
The ideal candidate will bring a level of financial expertise that not only complements existing business objectives but also sparks new ideas and approaches, driving the company toward innovative growth and operational excellence.
Position Overview: The CFO is responsible for shaping and executing the company's financial strategy to support its rapid growth.
As a key advisor to the MD, the CFO will align financial goals with broader business objectives, ensuring innovation and operational excellence.
The CFO will oversee financial reporting, capital management, asset management, and M&A activities while managing financial risks and ensuring compliance.
This is a pivotal leadership role, tasked with guiding the company's financial health in a competitive and dynamic environment.
Direct reports include the Accounts & Finance Team and the Head of Tech & Commercial.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Strategy & Leadership Financial Analysis & Risk Management P&L, Asset, and Capital Management Operational Finance Leadership & Team Development Stakeholder Communication Mergers & Acquisitions Qualifications & Experience: CPA qualification or equivalent.
At least 7 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role.
Proven experience in financial strategy, capital management, and financial reporting.
Experience in mergers and acquisitions will be highly regarded, with a successful track record of leading financial due diligence and integration initiatives.
Background in the transport, supply chain logistics, and/or warehousing sectors will be viewed favourably, though not essential.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Expertise in financial regulations, tax legislation, and compliance frameworks.
