About the role Reporting to the Executive General Manager Corporate Services, the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) is accountable for the strategic and operational leadership of the financial, procurement, pricing and regulation and property programs at Melbourne Water.
With executive accountability of these functions, the CFO is responsible for the delivery and execution of financial and sourcing strategy, presenting meaningful analysis and insights across a broad stakeholder group, and ensuring best practice financial governance, compliance, risk management and systems innovation.
The role requires a future focused leader to inspire a large team and foster a positive, customer-orientated culture that enables optimal commercial outcomes for the organisation.
About you CA/CPA qualified, you have extensive experience in a senior finance role and are an adaptive and forward-thinking enterprise leader.
You have demonstrated experience in delivering transformational change where you have enhanced finance and procurement practices and embedded sophisticated commercial capability.
You are passionate about empowering others and creating and managing a dynamic, high performing team.
Drawing on your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you are comfortable with complexity and thrive on the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally to maximise your impact and support the achievement of organisational objectives.
A focus on ensuring strong risk and governance frameworks is complemented by your commercial acumen, strategic agility and technical expertise.
