Collections Advisor (APAC Mobility)
We are looking for an experienced Collection professional to assist in building and evolving market leading capabilities in our Credit Risk function. This is a permanent position based in our Melbourne office (hybrid, mandatory). The Credit Risk team manages and supports a broad range of initiatives across product, credit risk and collections using a data driven approach across the entire suite of segments.
Key Responsibilities
Management and collection of payments from customers, including administration and tracking of the money owed to the company and reporting on the same.
Evaluate the financial stability and creditworthiness of customers through credit checks, financial statements, bank statements, and other relevant information.
Manage cross-functional initiatives to effectively manage credit risk, prioritizing high value risk assessments to enable strategic sales.
Support the roll-out of new digital products and replace legacy on-premise platforms and other key business initiatives.
Proactively support the Team lead to manage and monitor team performance by maintaining KPIs and Service Level Agreements.
Ensure internal controls are adhered to obtain satisfactory audits, designed to assess current processes, ongoing projects in terms of strategic alignment, value proposition, associated risks, and dependencies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Personal Attributes
Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, finance, or business administration is desirable.
Experience in the field of Credit management.
Sound credit and financial analysis skills.
Effective business acumen and payment industry experience is desired.
Proven ability to operate efficiently within a team environment and build lasting relationships externally and internally within the Group.
Advanced communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
Strong problem-solving skills to effectively analyze and interpret financial data into meaningful insights (i.e., attention to detail).
Strong continuous improvement mindset: ability and desire to drive optimal outcomes.
Excellent relationship builder with the ability to balance risk and commercial outcome.
Customer service mindset with a strong desire to provide the best experience for internal and external customers.
