Cyc Link Partnership Post Doctoral Research Coordinator The University of Melbourne Australia, Vic Oct 8, 2024 Job no: 0063889 Location: Parkville Role type: Part-time (0.5 – 0.6 FTE); Fixed-term until May 2029 Faculty: Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences Department/School: School of Health Sciences - School of Physiotherapy Salary: Level B $119,231 - $141,581 per annum (pro-rata) plus 17% super About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project coordinator to lead a high-impact initiative aimed at improving the lives of young people with disabilities.
You will play a key role in implementing and evaluating an innovative cycling program, working closely with leading experts across universities, allied health, and government sectors.
This role offers the chance to make a real difference while driving collaboration and research in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
Your responsibilities will include: Coordinate the Cyc Link Partnership Project, including staff training, development of study materials, and oversight of ethics, governance and staff training at study sites.
Support the collection, integrity, analysis, and interpretation of study data, including follow-up assessments and qualitative interviews.
Lead or significantly contribute to research teams, ensuring high-quality presentations and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Provide effective supervision of research and graduate students, as well as research support staff involved in the project.
Who We Are Looking For We are seeking a motivated individual who demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and a commitment to collaboration, driven by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people with disabilities.
The successful candidate will need to have strong attention to detail and be able to manage their time with ease.
They will need to be experienced in the ethics and governance of research projects and be able to collect and analyse data, as well as prepare reports for dissemination.
You Will Also Have: A Ph D qualification in a related field.
Demonstrated experience in conducting effectiveness and implementation research studies.
Knowledge and experience in the paediatrics and/or disability fields.
A proven ability to manage large research projects and a developing national research profile, evidenced by research publications and contributions to grants.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.

Your New Team – Department of Physiotherapy The Department of Physiotherapy was established in 1991 and makes distinctive contributions nationally and internationally to the physiotherapy profession and society in research, learning & teaching and knowledge exchange.
In 2009 it became a department within the Melbourne School of Health Science.
