Management Accounting & Budgeting (Accounting) Finance Analyst - Group Planning & Reporting One of Australia's largest energy groups is growing their finance team and looking to onboard a well-rounded Finance Analyst to be hands-on across several areas within the team.
The Finance Analyst (commercial partnering team) is responsible for the preparation of divisional FP&A planning and reporting.
The role is part of the Group Planning & Reporting team which provides insights and support to a broad range of stakeholders across the business.
Responsibilities: Corporate Partnering provides business partnering services to the corporate business functions including Finance and non-finance.
Prepare month-end divisional FP&A reports, including monthly management reports, cash flow analysis, opex review, risk and opportunities review, and capex project reports.
Assist with the coordination and delivery of the annual budget, four-year plan, and quarterly forecasts.
Identify and drive initiatives to continuously improve, automate and scale forecasting and reporting tools, processes and improve the reporting of financial information to management.
Assist with half-year and full-year reporting requirements for external stakeholders, including the Directors' Report, Investor Pack, and supplementary data and analysis.
Assist in analysing progress towards a range of market targets and initiatives.
Assist with the preparation and analysis of finance regulatory enquiries and data requests.
Add value by acting with key stakeholders' interest in mind, establishing and maintaining effective relationships, gaining trust and respect.
Assist the broader FP&A team on an as-required basis.
Requirements: CPA/CA Qualified.
4+ years' experience in analytical roles.
Experience in providing financial analysis support to business management.
Commercial acumen to understand the dynamics of a complex industry.
Ability to understand, utilise and improve sophisticated accounting and reporting systems.
High level analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse complex problems, identify issues, think laterally and apply analytical, qualitative and research techniques to develop appropriate strategies.
Excellent organisational ability and strong attention to detail.
Holds self-accountable for delivery and regularly checks that own performance is on track.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Works collaboratively with others and builds and maintains strong team relationships.
Genuinely seeks input from others and respects their views.
Highly motivated, energetic, flexible, commercially focused with a can-do attitude.
Strong Analysis for Office/SAP experience preferred.
