An incredible opportunity exists for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team at PPG in Clayton, Melbourne.
As Finance Business Partner, you will be a key cross-functional member of the Finance and Trade management teams. You will provide financial guidance, analysis and reporting for the Trade Sales group which incorporates COS (Company owned stores) and dealers.
Partner the Trade sales and management teams to deliver sustainable improvements in Trade/COS profitability.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Reporting and Analysis
Monthly Result – Complete and review the accrual process for trade sales including maintain related B/S recs.
Monthly result - Reporting & analysis against plan/prior/estimate and other KPIs for the Trade & COS teams (eg: sales volume/price/mix and overheads).
Develop implement and maintain a framework to calculate customer profitability.
In accordance with the agreed framework, calculate ROI, PPG gains on trade price changes framework and trade customer profitability and concisely communicate findings.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Develop the annual budget & forecasts (in year) in conjunction with Trade management (sales, overhead, balance sheet and capital spend). This includes testing assumptions and questioning variations from previous periods to ensure that budgetary/financial controls are enforced.
Participation in Architectural IBP process including demand review and gap closure.
Prepare financial models for all trade and COS ACTs and deferred asset requests.
Prepare financial post implementation reviews for ACTs and deferred asset requests and communicate findings.
Channel allocation accuracy.
Financial Support to the Business
Support ongoing audit schedule for COS and retail partners.
Participate in developing the trade and COS sales incentive program, review incentive calculations and accruals.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Ensure a high standard of accuracy in all reporting.
Ensure compliance with Coatings Controllership policies.
Identify opportunities for cost and profitability improvements.
Identify and support processes improvement initiatives.
Participate in providing Sales reporting to the Commercial team.
Also provide hands on training of how to use relevant system tools ie Power BI, Analysis for Office, SAP.
Sales churn/growth analysis.
REQUIREMENTS:
CPA or CA qualified.
Attention to detail and able to work on own initiative.
Demonstrated problem solving skills.
Up to 10 years' experience in a relevant field.
Excellent communication skills and be held in high esteem by peers.
Advanced computer literacy in Excel, SAP, Power Point, Power BI, Hyperion, SAP – Analysis for Office.
Commercial knowledge of the Coatings industry (advantageous).
Sound business knowledge to enable professional support to senior stakeholders.
Can think strategically – is forward thinking and can view issues from a big picture position.
Excellent communication, analytical, presentation & planning skills.
Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team.
High attention to detail.
Ability to interpret and present analytical findings.
Demonstrates a good understanding of current business issues.
