What to Expect As the Finance Lead for Renewable Assets, you will oversee the financial management of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and energy storage assets.
This role requires a deep understanding of asset management, financial planning, and strategic forecasting to support the long-term success and profitability of renewable energy investments.
You'll collaborate closely with operational teams, providing key financial insights to guide decision-making and enhance asset performance.
What You'll Do Lead financial oversight of renewable energy assets, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Manage financial performance metrics , identifying areas for optimisation and driving improvements across asset portfolios.
Collaborate with asset management and operational teams , providing financial guidance to optimise project outcomes.
Develop and monitor financial models for forecasting project returns and assessing potential risks.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations , preparing reports for regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
Support investment decisions by providing detailed financial analysis and due diligence on new projects.
Oversee financial reporting , including profit and loss statements, cash flow analysis, and variance reports.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies across renewable asset operations.
Work closely with senior leadership to align financial strategies with long-term business goals.
Present financial updates to executives and stakeholders, providing insights on asset performance and market trends.
What You'll Bring Extensive experience in finance , with a focus on asset management in the renewable energy sector.
Strong analytical skills , with experience in financial modelling and forecasting for energy assets.
Proven track record in managing budgets , P&L statements, and financial performance metrics.
Excellent communication skills , with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
Knowledge of renewable energy markets , including regulatory frameworks and industry trends.
Ability to work cross-functionally , collaborating with technical teams, operations, and leadership.
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field , or equivalent professional experience.
CPA or CFA qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience with renewable energy projects (wind, solar, and battery storage) is a significant advantage.
Expected Compensation Salary range: $170,000 - $190,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus bonus and benefits package.
