Job Description Are you a talented Finance Manager looking to lead the financial operations and drive our success at Epworth Eastern? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while driving strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to lead a team effectively.The Finance Manager is part of the senior leadership Team at Epworth Eastern and reports directly to the Executive General Manager. The role works closely with the Director FP&A and Finance Manager across all Epworth sites. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and manage the annual budgeting process. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts. Analyse financial performance and present insights to senior management. Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. Oversee the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory filings. Implement and maintain internal controls to mitigate risks. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Conduct performance evaluations and provide training as necessary. Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement strategic financial initiatives. Assess and recommend improvements to financial processes and systems. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions. Present financial reports and strategic recommendations to the executive team and board. To be successful in this role... With a strong background and experience in a hospital/or research setting, you will be able to demonstrate that you have: Relevant post-graduate financial qualifications (e.g. CPA/CA). A strong and supportive working style. Effective influencing and relationship management skills. A proven track record of delivery of excellent financial and business outcomes. Ability to manage a number of key stakeholders and timelines in a continuously evolving environment. Prior experience in a hospital finance role will be looked upon favourably (not mandatory).
