The purpose of this role is to be an interface between the Australian Finance Function, Internal / External Customers and stakeholders and Olam Global Business Services (OGBS) in Chennai, resolving queries and undertaking finance management tasks.
Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager your responsibilities will include: Accounts Management Maintaining the records and information management system in line with audit requirements Assist with managing credit control function and liaising with internal sales teams to ensure effective management of customer accounts within agreed and risk office approved terms.
Reviewing, maintaining, and managing compliance of the Company's credit cards, GL's, purchase orders and Flexi Purchase &/or Concur Overseeing of TAnalayst &/or i MEI database and work with OGBS to aid with maintenance of data for monthly invoicing Overseeing and reviewing recurring payment processes and database for leases and rental properties Assisting regional and head office staff with resolution of issues relating to workflow tool (Open Text) and offshore teams Creating and maintaining procedures and documentation system on Share Point Assist with internal/external audit processes in addition to completing in-house miscellaneous audit review on cash, gift cards, expenses.
Troubleshooting Manage internal (Australia and Chennai) and external enquiries to ensure timely responses and high levels of customer service Solving problems, investigating, and resolving any issues relating to the P2 P, O2 C, Credit Control and Australian Treasury functions Providing technical assistance and support to fellow team members to ensure completion of Accounts activities (particularly in periods of seasonal workloads) across the P2 P, O2 C, Credit Control and Australian Treasury functions Effectively communicate and liaise with members of the finance team to ensure successful completion of all finance activities Working with OGBS to ensure major supplier accounts are kept current To be successful you must have minimum five (5) years' experience in a similar role, general accounting knowledge and intermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word applications.
As well as strong numeracy skills, ability to interpret data and identify issues and offer solutions, highly effective time management and prioritization skills.
A high level of interpersonal skills required.
Relevant tertiary qualification required.
