Our client is a leading global organization specializing in the distribution and development of innovative products within the specialty chemicals sector. With interests spanning manufacturing, distribution and specialty trade, they are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Director to join their senior leadership team in the Australia-New Zealand region. This role is pivotal in providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring the financial health of the organization across the region. Key Responsibilities: Financial Leadership : Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's broader goals, providing expert advice on risk management and profitability. Financial Planning & Analysis : Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes, providing insights to drive financial performance. Reporting & Compliance : Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, managing relationships with auditors and regulatory bodies. Treasury & Risk Management : Oversee cash flow, working capital management, and risk mitigation strategies. Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to foster a culture of high performance. Strategic Initiatives : Play a key role in mergers, acquisitions, and financial due diligence to support growth. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred. At least 10 years of progressive finance experience, including 5 years in a senior management role. Experience in international trade, manufacturing, or wholesale industries, especially with European-headquartered companies. Strong expertise in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and compliance within large, complex organizations. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are essential. Key Attributes: Exceptional leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail with a strong customer and business focus.
